so i've been giving photography some serious thought tonight. how good do you really need to be before getting paid for shoot an event? when should you ask for compensation, and when is it inappropriate?
can one really survive on paid contracts?
would one get bored of this? would one be able to find new ways of seeing the world every day, for a lifetime?...
tough questions. hard to find answers.
i wish my friend the best of luck since he's switching into a photography program! i know he can do it!!! <3 if anyone can reinvent the world in 230948304980293 photos, that would be him! (check out his blog! it's siiick!)
cheers!

Oh la la... I think they look pretty good. Especially the ones with the dance crew!
I think to really take photography as something beyond a hobby, you need to be able to get down and dirty with it (so to say). I mean, I can imagine the things you have to do to get a great shot...you've really gotta love what you do.
Anyway, send me an email (pbunniep@yahoo.ca) with your msn and we can totally chat sometime. (despite the 3hr time diff *lol*)
hey i sent you an email :)
and thanks!! :) i definitely enjoyed shooting these
but yeah.. on 2nd thought, really, being a professional photographer is not something i'd aim to become. it would put a constraint on my creativity cuz im PAID to get results :P haha
anyway yes, hopefully we can talk soon! x
